Not every ride goes from start to finish without a pause—sometimes riders need to grab a coffee, pick up an order, or take a quick break. With Pause Ride, they can lock the vehicle and return to continue their ride without ending it. At the same time, operators stay fully informed: they see which vehicles are paused, understand why a trip is not in motion, and can ensure everything remains secure and under control
Pause Ride allows a user to temporarily stop their active trip without ending it. During pause mode:

This feature was shaped by real data and operator feedback. We noticed a recurring pattern: in many trips, vehicles would remain stationary for 5–10 minutes, often in areas like cafés, food spots, and banks. It became clear—riders were making short stops but didn’t want to end the trip.
At the same time, operators needed a way to secure the vehicle, maintain assignment to the same rider, and avoid unnecessary unlock fees or losing the vehicle to someone else. With those insights in mind, we built Pause Ride to support real-world habits while protecting fleet performance and revenue.
