With Pause Ride, they can lock the vehicle and return to continue their ride without ending it. At the same time, operators stay fully informed: they see which vehicles are paused, understand why a trip is not in motion, and can ensure everything remains secure and under control

What is the Pause Ride Feature?

Pause Ride allows a user to temporarily stop their active trip without ending it. During pause mode:

• The vehicle is locked and unusable to others
• The rider retains ownership of the trip and vehicle.
• Time-based billing continues or adjusts based on your pricing rules

It’s perfect for deliveries, errands, short stops, and more.

Why We Built It?

This feature was shaped by real data and operator feedback. We noticed a recurring pattern: in many trips, vehicles would remain stationary for 5–10 minutes, often in areas like cafés, food spots, and banks. It became clear—riders were making short stops but didn’t want to end the trip.

At the same time, operators needed a way to secure the vehicle, maintain assignment to the same rider, and avoid unnecessary unlock fees or losing the vehicle to someone else. With those insights in mind, we built Pause Ride to support real-world habits while protecting fleet performance and revenue.

How It Works?

From the Rider App:

• Rider taps “Pause Ride” during an active session.
• Vehicle locks,Trip timer continues.
• Rider can unlock and resume instantly from the same screen.

From the Operator Dashboard:

• You set rules: charge or not during pause.
• You get full visibility in real-time: which vehicles are paused, for how long, and by whom
